5 Atrocities committed by Russians in Ukraine.
Recently, a video of Russian soldiers executing 16 Ukrainian prisoners of war appeared on Ukrainian Telegram channels. This is nothing new for us, we are used to horrible things Russians do – it is their way to humiliate and terrorize the adversaries. This article exposes the war crimes committed by the Russian horde in Ukraine, for which they will hopefully soon be tried at the Hague Tribunal.
1. Public Executions of Prisoners of War.
A Ukrainian drone captured footage of the Russian military executing 16 prisoners near the village of Suhyy Yar in Ukraine. On the footage, it is seen how figures shoot at 16 people and they fall on the ground – then the war criminals escape. This is not the first case of Russians killing Ukrainian prisoners, often they do it publicly – knowing that drones are recording the video of their crimes.
In September, the Russians proudly shared a picture of a Ukrainian POW killed by a SWORD (!!!) at a large intersection in Novohrodivka.
During the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kursk Oblast, soldiers of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces showed a video warning with the head of a Ukrainian soldier on a pile. The same thing happened a year ago in Russia.
In 2023 a video of Russian soldiers decapitating Ukrainian POW appeared on Russian fascist Vladislav Pozdniakov Telegram Channel. Russian neo-Nazi Sabotage Assault Reconnaissance Group “Rusich” founded by the notorious Alexei Milchakov openly shared instructions on how to “use” Ukrainian POWs.
“Don’t be afraid to kill POWs! There will be no consequences.”
Milchakov also suggests selling the location of the graves of dead soldiers to their relatives to buy new gear and equipment…
It is obvious that the Russians use these public executions to scare their adversaries. But, as usual, it can also backfire, fueling hatred and motivation to fight Russians to the end. Beheading of opponents was also practiced by Russians in Syria – but the world was silent, so the unpunished evil flourishes.
2. Executions of civilians.
When the Russians shamefully escaped from Kyiv in 2022, the whole world was shocked to find mass executions of civilians in Borodianka and Bucha near Kyiv. 458 bodies were recovered from the city, including nine children under the age of 18 in the Bucha massacre. People were electrocuted, raped, and shot in Russian torture chambers. God only knows how many people are tortured and killed today on the occupied territories, but I am afraid that after the war we will find mass graves reminiscent of Babyn Yar in Kyiv where Nazis killed 34000 Jewish civilians in September 1941.
3. Rape of women, men and children
Rape is another perverted way for the Russians to humiliate their opponents. The Russian army left a trail of raped women in Poland and Germany during its “victorious” march to Berlin. Russian mentality doesn’t change with time. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights published a report on human rights violations and war crimes in October 2022:
“Sexual violence has affected victims of all ages. Victims, including children, were sometimes forced to witness the crimes. Children have become the victims of the full spectrum of violations investigated by the Commission, including indiscriminate attacks, torture and rape, and have suffered the predictable psychological consequences.”
OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid called “rape a Russian tactic of war in Ukraine”.
There is no need to go into details of Russian sexual atrocities, but one thing that is truly deviant in Russian sexual crimes is the fixation on anal. There are numerous videos showing Russian officers literally shoving a shovel handle up a soldier’s rear as punishment. Half of Ukrainian prisoners of war experienced rape as a means of torture in Russian prisons.
“Almost every single one of the Ukrainian POWs we interviewed described how Russian servicepersons or officials tortured them during their captivity, using repeated beatings, electric shocks, threats of execution, prolonged stress positions and mock execution. Over half of them were subjected to sexual violence”
said Danielle Bell, head of United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU).
There is not much to say about the Russian sadistic/masochistic culture. The NKVD and KGB long used sexual torture in the gulags/prison system to inflict communist terror on regular people (you can check the drawings of Danzig Baldaev to see what moscovites are capable of). And the Russian fixation on anal sex is another indication of how sick this nation is.
4. Looting.
Looting and plundering is a famous Russian tradition. Russians looted Europe during Napoleon’s wars, during the Second World War, they’ve looted Ichkeria, Syria and now Ukraine. There is a funny fact about Russian invaders – when the Red Army entered Lviv in 1939, the officers immediately raided the apartments of wealthy Lviv aristocrats. When Russian wives got to the clothes of Lviv ladies, they took the nightgowns and showed up on the street to the crowd’s great amusement, thinking those were fine dresses. Poverty was always a part of Russian lifestyle, so no wonder that Moscovite invaders loot anything they see, even regular commodities like wash machines.
Like almost 100 years ago, Russian looters are stealing not only clothes but also toilets, washing machines and refrigerators from Ukrainian civilians.
5. Abduction of children.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has forcibly transferred almost 20 thousand Ukrainian children to the territories under its control. The children were given Russian citizenship and forcibly adopted into Russian families. Not all children are orphans – many of them were separated from their parents during the filtration process. This is the only war crime that prompted the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova.
Ukraine is trying hard to get the children back with international support, but it is still an uphill battle. Abducted Ukrainian children are used for propaganda purposes, they are subjects of “perevospitanie” – being brainwashed and indoctrinated to Russian chauvinistic ideology through schools, paramilitary camps, forced “foster families” etc.

If you are the kind of person who thinks of Russia in terms of Dostoyevsky and Chaikovsky- bear in mind all the atrocities, perversions and horrible crimes these people have committed against Europeans, Georgians, Syrians, Chechens and now Ukrainians. Read this article repeatedly so you don’t forget that the monsters are lurking under the fig leaf of “sophisticated” culture.
